R. Joanna Weeks Reeves
Joanna received her Master of Business Administration at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas and her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at the University of Liberia in Monrovia, Liberia. She has spent twenty-seven years as a financial accountant and nine years as a tax professional. Her need for growth propelled her to start her own company in August 2002 – JAMPAD Accounting & Tax Services, Inc. As she strives to do her best in life, she now focuses on helping children.
Books are her addiction. Weeks Reeves loves to read and finds joy in submerging herself in autobiographies, biographies and novels — fiction and non fiction. Forever on the path of learning, her books cover a wide variety of subject matters. During her years in school, she read many books without fully understanding the necessary reading strategies or developing reading skills such as reflecting on how well the text is understood or connecting what she already knew to the information in the book. She has come a long way since. Many of her books, placed on the shelves in her home are carefully annotated with her many thoughts and questions. Reading, she insitsts, has been her greatest tool in life. Weeks Reeves has lived in Olathe, Kansas for 14 years and has four adult children. My Personal Literacy Story.
